Program History

KEEPS, a Mentoring and Induction Program, was developed for Mansfield ISD for the 2002-2003 school year. It is a program for teachers...by teachers. KEEPS stands for Knowledge-based Encounters Ensuring Professional Success and serves MISD as both a recruiting ad retention tool. The program has been instrumental in providing a comprehensive support system for novice teachers commensurate with their level of need.

The teacher is the most influential aspect of the classroom as it relates to student growth and learning.
